Charles Scott Patrick
Charles Scott Patrick lost his courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, December 17, 2009.
Scott was born on November 12, 1959 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The family moved from Jackson, Miss. to Montgomery in 1961. He attended Romeo and Juliet Kindergarten, Dalraida Elementary, Goodwin Junior High and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1978. He attended AUM graduating in 1983 with honors and a degree in Political Science. He pursued a career in retail sales and managed several stores in the Montgomery area. Scott was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Patrick in 1961, his maternal grandparents, Edna and Ed Montague of Kyle, Texas, his paternal grandparents, Charles and Lona Mae Patrick of Ozark.
He is survived by his parents, Nell and Glenn Patrick of Montgomery; a daughter, Rachel Patrick; former wife, Billie Shields Patrick and her daughters, Alexis Tara and Railene of Wagoner, Okla.; two uncles, Bobby L. (Gerda) Patrick of Brockton, Maine, Jack (Sarah) Patrick of Dunedin, Fla. and several cousins.
Graveside services were held Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ozark, Ala. with the Rev. Burton Herring officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Capitol Heights Methodist Church, Montgomery, Ala. Leak-Memory Chapel Directing.
