Thomas Edward Hood Jr.
Thomas Edward Hood Jr., age 55, of Ozark, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at his home.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, December 27 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark with the Reverend Roger Campbell officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
Mr. Hood was born October 21, 1954 in Stuttgart, Germany to the late Thomas Edward Hood and Frieda Karelina Zink Hood. He was raised in Ozark and lived in Ozark and Tuscaloosa most of his life. He served in the United States Air Force for four years, and was in the computer repair industry before becoming a master carpenter. Mr. Hood was an avid NASCAR and college football fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Marie Hood.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and William Council of Stevensville, Maryland; one daughter, Amanda Leigh Hood of Montgomery; two nieces, April and Rachel Carr of Stevensville, Maryland.
Seven grandchildren also survive.
