Iva Mae Davis
MACON, GA - Mrs. Iva Mae Davis, a resident of Macon, Georgia, formerly of Brundidge, Alabama went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 25, 2009. She was 95 years of age.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2009 from the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark with the Reverend Jerry Wilkes officiating. Burial followed in the New Brockton cemetery in New Brockton with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Davis was born on June 1, 1914 near Brundidge to the late Walter and Mae Tatom Fredrick. She was a dedicated homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brundidge. Mrs. Davis was an active member of the Eastern Star for many years, holding a number of high offices in Georgia and Alabama.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Curtis Clayton Davis, and one son, Joseph Paul Powell Jr.
Survivors include three grandsons, Jonathon Mark Powell of Jacksonville, Fla., Timothy Kendall Joyner (Lisa) of Macon, Ga., and John Anthony Joyner of Coats, N.C.; one great-granddaughter, Mary Beth Powell Knopsnider (David) of Jacksonville, Fla.; two great-great-grandsons, Avery Walker Powell of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kendall Patrick Joyner of Macon, Ga.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mrs. Davis had resided for the last four years with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jimmie M. Powell of Macon, Ga.
