Lupita Ruiz Castillo Johnson
Mrs. Lupita “Lew” Ruiz Castillo Johnson, a resident of Ozark, died at her home Friday, December 11, 2009, following an extended illness. She was 71 years of age.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday at 10 a.m. from St. Johns Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Paul Egbe officiating. Burial followed in Woodlawn Memory Gardens under the direction of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark, Alabama.

Mrs. Johnson, the daughter of the late Antonio Castillo and Concepsion Ruiz Castillo, was born December 12, 1937 in Ajo, Arizona. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church and a veteran of the United States Army. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Castillo.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, SGM (Ret.) Gary Johnson of Ozark; three daughters, Teri Kelley and husband Ron of Ozark, Traci Reilly and husband Don of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Tamie Belcher of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two sons, CSM Wayne Johnson and wife Tencha of Fort Hood, Texas and Christopher Johnson and wife Yvonne of Enterprise; three sisters, Ophelia Monje, Jessie Dominquez and Maria Rosales, all of Arizona; three brothers, Tony Castillo, Leonard Castillo and Felipe Martinez , all of Arizona; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
