Thomas Jerrold Trawick
Thomas Jerrold Trawick, 79, passed away August 17, 2010 in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Trawick was born June 20, 1931 in Ariton, Ala. to T.J. Trawick and Mary (Grimmer).
He was a devout Baptist.
Major Trawick retired as a Major in the US Air Force and was the recipient of the US Air Force Commendation Medal at Torrejon AB, Spain. He was decorated for meritorious service as an operations staff officer at Offutt AFB, Neb.
He also retired from the Orange County School Board as a teacher from Cherokee Jr. High and Liberty Middle School. He was Past President and member of the Lions Club and MOAA. He was a collector of antique clocks and enjoyed gardening. He was a true farmer at heart.
He is survived by his wife, Clara S. Trawick of Belle, Isle, Fla.; son, Thomas J. Trawick Jr. of Kissimmee, Fla.; daughters and son-in-law, Sabrina and Jon Roddy of Ocoee, Fla.. Linda Emerson of Bradley, Maine and Donna Figueroa of Orlando, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Tony, T.J., Danny, Jason, Anthony, Samantha, Kristin and Cody; three great-grandchildren, Elena, Davin and little “O”; sister, Margaret Stevens (John) of Orlando, Fla. and brother, Stanley Trawick (Ann) of Lexington, North Carolina; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. at the Baldwin Fairchild Pine Castle Chapel. Interment followed at Glen Haven memorial Park. Arrangements were handled by Baldwin Fairchild Pine Castle Chapel, 5800 Hansel Ave., Orlando , Fla. 32809. (407) 855-5800
