Welcome to the Young Adult Section!

Our Young Adult (YA) section features a cozy, quiet reading area perfect for reading a great book, working on homework, or working on group projects. The YA section contains a variety of  materials including the latest YA books,  graphic novels, the ancient and modern classic books, required reading for many area schools, and nonfiction materials to help with your homework assignments. In addition to materials available in the room, the Library provides access to a variety of online resources such as links for homework help, test preparations, and scholarships!

Student Center

The Student Center organizes a collection of websites for free homework help that are available for students of all ages. The Center provides links for general homework assistance, live homework help with real tutors, and access to ACT/SAT test preparations.

The Scholarships page provides a list of websites that you can search for scholarships to help pay for college. Local scholarships are added as they are found. It also provides information about how you can potentially have your fees waived for the ACT/SAT tests!

Required Reading

The Library provides copies of the current required reading books for many of the area schools behind the Front Desk to check out.

Please note, due to limited copies and a high demand for these titles, there is a $5.00 deposit required. The deposit is refundable upon return of the book.

Call the Library today to see if we have copies of your required reading books available!

Volunteer Opportunities

The Library welcomes all individuals ages 13 and older to volunteer their time at the Library. We are always in need of good workers to help out with shelving books, helping with programs, and more! This is a great opportunity to earn those service hours required for many high school organizations and looks great on college applications, too! If you're interested in volunteering, fill out the application found at the link and return to the Library.
